How to code a TCU and adaptation for Touareg?

what year is the vehicle ? what engine ?

I believe this will be your issue. x431 can not recode a used module from what I have seen. I believe you will have to reflash that specific TCU. I could be wrong though.

I believe the only X431 tool that may have this capability is the new GDS. But even then you will need the J2534 Flashing Module which has not been released yet.
