crp 129 resetting oil/service light help

Hello,

I just got the crp129 since it can reset oil/service lights. I do not know how to do perform the resets and would like some help.

I tried to reset the oil and the wrench symbol on on a 2012 vw jetta but did not know what to do and I did not want to start pushing buttons.

saw things like uds,esi,long life reset canbus,non canbus ectect.

how do you identify what protocol the car has and the procedures.I have found some links here but still not sure what to do with the info.

if someone has a link to this info I am sure I can figure it out from there.

I don't have the reader to reset the service light. I have a GDS and you have to adapt multiple settings to reset back to normal. Feel free to respond and I can assist.

This tool does not work for 2007 Lexus IS350 nor 2004 Bmw X5 series, for both oil, airbag, and brake reset. I'm starting to become really annoy with this scanner. Mine is legit with serial and registration code.

 

Can you help or someone in this forum kindly show where would I get any upgrades since this tool new?
